Efes Grillhaus in Leipzig

Just bought a doner kebab here. That was moderate, if not to say bad. After 12 years of regular purchases, I can say that the quality has continued to decline. Today there was VERY little meat in it - it was more vegetarian. It was just cold meat that had already been cut. The bread has always been better. That I had ordered with cheese, but only realized at home that it was forgotten, rounds off the picture today. Overall, the price-performance ratio is not right today. It's a shame because it was really a good grill house once.

Hands off! Greasy lumps of fat warmed up on the grill plate. The Dürüm was thrown together absolutely lovelessly and not even properly rolled. The employees were absolutely unmotivated and unfriendly. The pictures speak for themselves. If you want to spend € 4.90 on a mixture of veal fat and chicken skin, you will be well served here.

The kebab always tasted good to me when I was drunk. Viewed objectively, the quality and taste are below average!

Worst kebab in town? Kebab meat limp. Kebab cold. Around cold. And somehow the quality is dubious. Probably not again ...

Not a bad kebab, you can sit outside well. But there are much better kebabs on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße for less money.

The kebab shop I trust! You need a beer, but the Späti is closed? Go to Efes! You are hungry during the night, but Karli is already dead? Go to Efes! There is also a cigarette machine and what to withdraw money! You can rely on Efes, at all times. I thank you!

Once, Leipzig is completely shut down, i.e. by 10 p.m. for food and midnight for drinks, Efes Grillhaus has been repeatedly a lifesaver in threating afterparty circumstances!

The meat on the kebab was unfortunately inedible. The pieces were cut way too big and consisted entirely of cartilage and fat. Not a single piece of meat was edible. The remaining ingredients were acceptable, but for 4 euros I expect significantly more. I cannot make a recommendation. Maybe I was just unlucky today, but it was the worst kebab I've ever eaten. I will not come back.

I can only agree with the previous reviews. The kebab is getting worse from year to year. Sometimes there is cartilage in the veal and the portion size is getting smaller and smaller. The tasty sauces and the Börrek sticks for € 1, which are a nice snack in between, are positive.

Makes little wrong, but also little really cool. Has at least layered meat; However, it doesn't taste particularly spicy. Doner kebab is ok. Not more but also not less. Sesame sauce!

Is probably one of the only shops in Leipzig where you can get something warm to eat at night. I wouldn't necessarily list the kebab as a deluxe, but it's definitely okay in terms of taste, I would say satisfying. - the kebab ? was already quite cold when I wanted to enjoy it a few meters further out of the aluminum foil to eat, please only cut the meat from the skewer when the kebab is being made, also preheating the bread in the oven is normal almost everywhere. - Even if not every customer feels obliged to wear mouth and nose protection at night, it would definitely be nice that, as a customer who wears them, you are not asked to checkout directly as long as customers are standing there without mouth protection . At least one could then kindly inform them that they would take a short step to the side, otherwise your distance markings on the floor are for the bin ...!

Grill plate ordered for € 13. Salad was more than 80% on the plate, and there was almost no meat. It's a shame, I always enjoyed going to Efe. The store has slacked off a lot, maybe the owner changed?

Very tasty dishes and a good selection of dishes (also vegan).

Unfortunately I was here at 2 a.m., maybe that was the mistake. A half-finished doner kebab with hands instead of veal. To my complaint, rejection ... a shame. For € 4 you didn't get anything special. Not to be missed further!

The price-performance ratio is right, it tastes good and the grill house has a great patio and a wide range of options, even away from the kebab.

The best doner in Leipzig. They use actual meat and not the homogenised stuff one finds in most kebab shops. Really enjoyed it. The overall menu is large with lots of choices. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back again.

Friendly staff. Good prices. The meat is cooked with peppers and onion inserted in the layers. Very nice flavor. The stuffed grape leaves were also good and tasted fresh.

Came to this place at around 12 at night. We ordered a halloumi plate and a Döner box, and together with some Turkish sweets. The halloumi was ok, the Döner was way too salty to our taste, and the sweets are simply too... sweet, like engulfed with sugar, plus they look and taste like already dipped in oil for a day (but since it's end-of-the-day sweets then that is indeed to be expected). A plus is that the staff was friendly and quick.

Very good quality and portion sizes, and simply DELICIOUS. I’m just all about the Döner and I believe they make the best in all of Leipzig... may I dare say even better than Olive Tree. They have a different sauce or different herbs that they use which really makes them stand out. Although it is my opinion that they over salt the meat and I find myself chugging glasses of water after eating there. Worth it though.

They have vegetarian options, and food is worth the money we pay.

We came in here looking to get some late night food after wandering around town for much of the day. It was great that they were open and the best part was the food! We didn't have too high of expectations since we figured being open until 6 am they were maybe catering to drunk people. The staff was super friendly and the döner looked and smelled delicious. We ordered a falafel and döner and were pleasantly surprised by the freshness of both. Quality ingredients and super fresh. The falafel had a nice little crunch to it and the sauce balanced out the whole sandwich nicely. The döner kebab was delicious, the meat was so tender and seasoned so well. Wish we had Turkish food like this near us.
